Top 5 AdSense tips
AdSense Tip #1: Find your keywordsBefore serving ads on a web page, check its keyword density. A free and advanced tool for finding the most prominent keywords in a page can be found here: SEO Density Analyzer. Copy the most important keywords to a text file ([web page name]-adsense-keywords.txt).
AdSense Tip #2: Improve your keywordsGet keyword suggestions from Overture Search Inventory and from Google AdWords Sandbox. Get new keywords that can help you improve your ad relevance. Enter the keywords from [web page name]-adsense-keywords.txt and save the suggestions to [web page name]-adsense-suggestions.txt.
AdSense Tip #3: Keep your website focused on a themeUse the keyword suggestions to enhance your web pages and to build theme-based content. And also try to get your keywords into the anchor text of your incoming links as much as possible. Don't forget that Google AdSense is keyword-targeted advertising: Google AdSense bases its advert topics on your websites content, this means that content-rich websites of a popular topic should attract a large amount of ads.
AdSense Tip #4: Write a new page every dayOne of the best tips is to add a new page to your web site every day. The more content you have, the more visitors you will get. Put an Adsense unit on each and every content page of your site. But where? You will find more about that from the next AdSense tips.
AdSense Tip #5: Choose the right AdSense formatWider formats are successful because the ads are compact, easy to read and are complementary to the content. The top three AdSense formats are:
336x280 large rectangle
300x250 medium rectangle
160x600 wide skyscraper Another successful format is the 468x15 horizontal ad links, that can be placed under your navigation bar.

10 Ways to Increase your Adsense Income
When it comes down to it you obviously need the traffic and that only comes through your own marketing efforts. But some publishers have the traffic and still don’t see the kind of money they expect with the Adsense advertising program.
I’ve been running Google adverts for nearly 3 years now. A person tends to learn a thing or two about increasing conversions when running the same advertising program for that amount of time, so I’m going to share a few tips with you:
1. Use section targeting to increase the relevancy of your adverts! This is something I don’t see talked about nearly enough because it really does work out for alot of sites. Its effectiveness really is determined on the site in particular, but no matter what it’s worth a shot!
2. Target competitive niches! I don’t care what anyone says about MFA sites, they work! I’m not talking about spam sites, I’m talking about high-quality, informative sites that are in a high paying market! Some of these niche sites can bring in $5-$10/day after only a couple days. When you’re making over a $1 per click you don’t need much traffic to make money.
3. If a site has a CTR of 1% or less, remove it from your site. Although there is some contraversy as to whether or not CTR causes “smart pricing” to kick in, it’s just not worth risking. At least remove Adsense for a few weeks and see if your overall adsense income rises. If so, you were probably hit with Google’s Smart Pricing. If that site in particular was causing smart-pricing to kick in, consider a different monetization model.
4. Use large rectangles wherever possible. Obviously this will be determined by your own perception of ads, as some people think it’s somewhat “spammy” to have a big ad at in their face, but large rectangles appearing at the top center of a page does work! I use this format on my niche sites above the content and I get very nice CTR’s on most of these sites.
5. Remove the “on-site Advertiser” link from your ads. This is something I noticed a few years back and noticed an immediate increase in earnings. That may have been a coincidence, but it makes sense. It’s just one less thing that makes it look like an ad.
6. Most pages convert better without a border and by using the same link and background color as your page. This is of course dependent on each page in particular, so testing is always important, but more times than not blending in converts!
7. In many instances one individual advert will show over and over again. If you see an ad that continues to appear on your page(s) but isn’t laser targeted to your content remove it with the competitive ads filter inside your account.
8. Do not go by Googles hit map. It’s a good visual aid for some layouts, but there are just too many variables. The effectiveness of any layout will be determined by color, style, niche etc. so testing is always your best bet!
9. Don’t get too crazy with ads. I’ve seen loads of sites that have there maximum allowance of Google ads stuffed into their pages, a few (or alot) affiliate banners etc. etc. Placing too many adverts on any page does NOT mean you’re going to earn more!! That’s a classic “newbie” mistake that most of us made in the beginning. More times than not, just have a couple well optimized ads on each page will convert MUCH better than 5 or more.
10. Play by the rules. Don’t ever click your own ads and don’t ever have others commit click fraud. You can’t crack their code and trying will only get your account banned for life! If you do click your own ad on accident don’t worry, one or two accidental clicks probably won’t get you banned, but several from the same IP and/or geographical location will definitely get your account banned. It’s not worth it, don’t do it!
Increase your Adsense CTR to 30% Easily
I was just going through some old sites and realized that I was leaving money on the table. A good majority of these older sites are getting decent traffic, which is pretty cool considering I no longer promote many of them. What isn’t cool is where I have my google ads placed on these sites.
Most of my newer niche sites get a CTR of around 30% and it’s not hard, nor is it a secret. The best converting advert in the adsense arsenal is the large rectangle. The best converting position for the large rectangle is just beneath the page header, where it’s the first thing your visitors will see after they read the header.
Of course I can’t guarantee this will get you a 30% CTR, as it depends on the relevance of the ads that Google serves etc. I can tell you that many of my sites do produce a CTR of 30% doing just what I stated above.
Just think; if your site is generating $20/day from adsense, but getting a 15% CTR; doing this may very well double the income from that site.
If most of your sites are getting a 15% CTR you could literally double your income just by placing adverts in the right spots!!
In other words, if you don’t think much about the placement of your ads, you’re leaving money on the table. And when I say “your leaving money on the table” I mean lots of it!

Adsense Tricks
Learning Adsense tricks should be mastered by every site owner. For beginners, this task is important, since this goal would help in building a website. Besides, most people outgrow the fancy of creating sites and instead build sites for money, thus they could choose between a single site for big profit or a hundred sites for a dollar gain.
Once the person has decided on the kind of website he wants, it's time to apply Adsense. Apart from its importance during at the start of the site's creation, Adsense could also be used once the site starts to receive high traffic. The first thing to do when applying Adsense is to get high hit keywords which are the ones to bring more profit to your site. But after sometime, an evaluation of keywords must be performed, since some keywords don't really earn anything and just clog traffic and space in the website. Thus, these keywords must be removed to prevent jeopardizing the site.
Another of the Adsense tricks concerns the location and sizes of the ads. Google advises that ads be placed both at the center and left portion of the web page, since these are the spots where ads are easily noticed. Ads also are visibly better if they come in sizes such as large rectangle 336×280, inline rectangle 300×250, or wide skyscraper 160×600.
Other useful Adsense tricks involve putting generic images on top of the ad to attract visitors and possibly, linking with other sites to generate more income.
AdSense Tips - Hints, Tricks, and More!

The best performers in all those four aspects will naturally generate better revenues.

5 Tips To Grow Search Engine Traffic To Your Blog
1. Know your keywords
Keywords are the building blocks of a blog and web site. Naturally, you should target just one keyword per blog post. Avoid creating content just for the sake of having the keyword on your blog. You should provide valuable content and impress the visitors. Only then will they consider subscribing to your content feed.
You should be thinking about what the visitors do on your site. Optimizing the result from the same amount of traffic is as important, if not more. But, I digress…
2. Optimize your blog design
You will be surprised that many bloggers claim their blog themes or templates as search engine friendly because the themes were advertised as such. Spend some time to check the template to make sure it has the right title tag, order of content, heading tags and so on.
Your time will be well spent. After all, it is most likely a one-time task. It may make a difference between ranking for long tail keywords and not getting found at all.
3. Restructure your site
Theming with silos is a great way to structure and divide your blog content into subtopics. Many SEO experts represent siloing as simple tiered content. They are quite similar in a few points but nevertheless you should thinking about making your content topics obvious to search engines.
Tiered content without proper linking doesn’t help build topic on your site. For instance, you should only link to a silo (or parent) instead of children cross another silo. Good practice avoids diluting the theme of your site or blog.
That can help rankings because once search engines think your blog is related to certain subtopic, you are going to get more long tail keywords for that subtopic.
4. Gain inbound links
There is more than one way to do it, from article marketing to link baiting, blog commenting, forum marketing and so on. When you are just starting out, every little tactic matters to grow your traffic level to a few hundreds a day.
Your aim is to reach more center of influence. Once you are at this level, every new post will result in a few more backlinks to your blog.
5. Patience
As the age of your domain increases, your blog will also be considered more valuable, especially if you keep it active throughout the time.
Search engine optimization doesn’t produce flood of traffic immediately but it is often worth the effort. Giving up too early in the process is one of the biggest reasons why people fail at this.
Another thing to keep in mind is that traffic from organic search grows gradually. As you target more keywords within your content and gain more authority through backlinks, you will only grow your traffic.
You may be surprised that after several years, I still notice growth in traffic to some of my blogs from search engines. It helps if you aim for the long haul and really drill deep in a niche, because that’s what a real business is.
40 Ways to Make Money on the Internet
2. Amazon Affiliate Program - Easily create a store or shopping section on your site instead of sending your visitors to Amazon. Amazon handles the shopping cart and fulfillment.
3. Amazon Seller - Sell your stuff on Amazon
4. Associated Content - If you write a story, how-to, rant, etc. you can submit it to them and they will pay you $3-$20 per article if they like it
5. Azoogleads - Another ad program. They do have some decent companies lined up as advertisers. You provide space, they'll provide an ad.
6. BidVertiser - PPC (pay per click) program with a low $10 payout amount.
7. Build a Niche Store - This is a simple store / website development platform which enables you to create content based sites that generate income through the eBay affiliate programs. Pretty darn simple.
8. Blog - Start a blog and consistently write excellent content. With good ad placement, you may make some money. I detail my process here: Simply Said, How to Blog.
9. Business Opportunities Blog - I am adding this because I am a subscriber to their site and I see ideas everyday that could result in making money. A lot of the ideas pertain to online businesses. If you are an aspiring entrepreneur, it's a good reference.
10. Cafepress - You provide a design, they'll toss it on a T-Shirt, Hat, etc. No upfront costs. Get a free online shop and promote your products on your website.
11. Chitika - Their eMiniMalls service has shown great results for many Bloggers and site owners. You choose a keyword and they show relevant products on your site using a pretty unique interface.
12. Clickbank - Quickly becoming my favorite affiliate program. They have thousands of things for you to advertise on your site.
13. ClicknWork - Get paid $5-$150 per hour for basically doing freelance work on a per-assignment basis. You have to pass a pretty tough test to get in.
14. Clicksor - These are the guys that generate contextual ads on sites that show up when you hover over a double-underlined word.
15. Commission Junction - If you have a site, you can join Commission Junction. Once enrolled for free, you can choose companies whose ads are pertinent to your site. Companies have the ultimate say on working with you. There are easily over 1,000 companies to choose from here.
16. CreamAid - For blogs only, advertisers provide you with a topic and you write about it on your site. To do this, you have to install a flash widget into your blog post. The more people you bring into the conversation through the widget, the more you get paid. It's difficult to explain.
17. eefoof - Think of it as YouTube + Flickr + Music. You add original content and they pay you based on the visitors you attract.
18. Ether - If you are an expert on something, Ether provides a way for people to pay you to talk about it in a one-on-one setting. If you want to charge $250/hr, that's fine. You have to do all the advertising so you should have a blog or site already established.
19. eBay- Come on, you know what this is. Gather your junk and sell it!
eBay Stores - If you have a real store and want to sell your stuff online, this is a decent option to get you started.
20. ELance - Name gives it away. Programmers, Codes, Web Designers, Writers, Editors, can look for freelance opportunities.
21. Feedvertising - This is an arm of Text Link Ads and is currently only good for Wordpress 2.0 Users. This does me no good currently, but as you can guess, they place ads in your feed(s).
22. Feedburner / Google - Not only are they the best place to house your feeds, they will also add ads to your feed and website. You get paid per impression and if you implement Google Adsense to your feed, you are paid per click.
23. Google Adsense - Come on, you don't need an explanation; these ads are all over the place. Google displays relevant ads based on your site's content
24. Google Adwords - Create simple text ads and choose keywords that determine when they are displayed. This is where the Adsense Content comes from. You do not need a site for this.
25. H3.com - Get paid to fill jobs. Commissions range from $50-$5,000. It all depends on how tough the job is to fill and how desperate the hiring company is. This is another one that's tough to explain.
26. Indeed.com - Add their job board to your site. They then post jobs based on the geographic location of visitors and the position types you pre-select. I tried it and I they continually report that I sent 0 visitors and I know that's not right. Nevertheless, I may have an isolated problem so they make the list.
27. InnerSell - If you have a customer that wants to buy something you cannot sell, you can sell the lead here.
28. Jellyfish - This is a shopping site that pays you a percentage of the purchases made by people you refer. They are not part of a wider affiliate program so you do it direct.
29. Jigsaw - It's a pretty flaky model but if you have a Rolodex full of good contacts, you can sell them here. I can't make sense of it but it looks like you get $0.10 per profile.
30. KarmaOne - They are basically a recruiting website. If you fill one of their jobs by finding a good candidate, you'll get paid anywhere from $50-$12,000. It all depends on how desperate the hiring company is.
31. LinkShare.com - If you have a site, you can join Linkshare. Once enrolled for free, you can choose companies whose ads are pertinent to your site. Companies have the ultimate say on working with you. Like Commission Junction, there are a ton of companies waiting to evaluate your site.
32. Microsoft Adcenter - Bid on keywords and Microsoft places your created ads then they are searched for. This is similar to Google Adwords. You do not need a site for this.
33. Overstock.com - Sell your stuff on Overstock.com
34. Pageflakes - This is a company that developed a user-defined Ajax homepage to show feeds, flickr photos, and a ton of other things. Think of it as a replacement for your Google Homepage. Anyway - they'll pay you $1 per referral that you send over. They are not part of a wider affiliate program so you do it direct. This one is pretty simple.
35. Pay Per Post - I don't agree with this model entirely but they have advertisers that will pay you to write about their products on your blog.
36. Pheedo - If you have an RSS feed, run it through Pheedo. Like Feedburner, they can include ads into your feed and if you really become large, advertisers will pay a premium for you to show their ads.
37. Shareasale.com - I've never really worked with them but I do have an account. They are similar to Commission Junction and Linkshare however they seem to have lower tiered companies with advertising offers.
38. Shoemoney - This is a blog that can teach you a ton on making money online. I've spent hours reading his old stuff.
39. Software Judge - They will pay you up to $50 to review software.
40. Text Link Ads - I have never made a dime here but I know people that have. You can earn by sending advertisers to them or by selling spots on your site. You must have a real site or blog to do this - nothing on a shared domain (i.e. /blogspot).
Vibrant Media - Don't bother unless your site has 500,000 page views of text based content a month. If you have that readership, these are the guys that display bubble box ads to underlined words on your site.
West Work At Home Agent - Not entirely online but this is worth a mention because it's won awards and is very legitimate. If you are an at-home Mom or free-lancer without work, you should check this out.
Yahoo! Merchant Solutions - This is a pretty simple and cheap way to create an online store.

10 ways to make money online
2. Join the myspace bandwagon, build up a lot of "friends" and bulletin advertise (what?!) the hell out of them. Send them to pages where you promote affiliate programs and you could walk away with five figures every month. There are people who make a lot more.
